Professor Canter has supervised more than 50 PhDs in the fields of Investigative and Environmental Psychology.
He enjoys supervising outstanding individuals from around the world who demonstrate a genuine commitment to the subject and desire to learn from both academics and professionals in the field, such as senior police staff.
His current doctoral intake includes students based in Barbados, India and USA as well as a United Kingdom team. Under the guidance of Professor Canter and Dr Donna Youngs, these individuals are carrying out studies on topics from homicide detective decision-making, detection of deception, geographical profiling, terrorism, hijacking and kidnapping to serial rape investigation and fraud.
